The Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School boys’ lacrosse team won the Shore Conference Tournament for the third consecutive year, making them the only team in shore conference history to achieve this feat. In addition to their historic win of three SCT titles in a row, the RFH Bulldogs have played in the Shore Conference Tournament a record seven times. They are joined by Christian Brothers Academy as the only four-time winners of the boys’ lacrosse SCT title.
The Bulldogs faced Jackson Memorial High School in a preliminary matchup and prevailed with a score of 9-8. The third-seeded RFH team then captured the Shore Conference Championship by defeating number one seed Southern Regional with a score of 14-5. Following their victory in the Shore Conference Tournament, the RFH team went on to win the Group 1 South State Division by prevailing over Bernards with a score of 10-6. The team then faced Mountain Lakes in the Group 1 Finals, where Mountain Lakes won with a score of 8-6. The Bulldogs ended their season with an impressive record of 18 wins and three losses.
“Coaching at RFH for the past seven years and working to build a program that is now recognized state-wide has been the experience of a lifetime,” said RFH boys’ lacrosse coach Reid Jackson. “The boys have bought into the mission of our program, which is to build men of character, and our wins are a by-product of all the hard work they have put in towards this goal.”
