Fun, food, and fashion among friends was the theme of the day on December 8 at MJ’s Buttonwood Manor on Route 34 in Matawan, where the Newcomers and Neighbors Club of Colts Neck, Holmdel, and surrounding areas hosted their fabulous annual holiday luncheon. Members and guests gathered to enjoy an afternoon that included a cocktail hour and appetizers, a scrumptious buffet brunch, raffle prizes, a 50/50 cash raffle, updates on upcoming club events, and a holiday fashion show featuring elegant attire from Dresses and More in the Marketplace, also on Route 34 in Matawan. Club members enthusiastically served as the models and showed off lovely cocktail dresses and gowns perfect for upcoming holiday events. Luncheon guests also received discount cards for any purchases made at Dresses and More.
On January 12 at 9:30 a.m., the club will continue the tradition of their annual “Game Day,” held at Colts Neck Firehouse #2 on Conover Road. Prospective members are welcome to drop by for some refreshments, coffee, socialization, and games.
Although the Newcomers and Neighbors Club is not a charity organization, it often donates to local worthy causes. This past year, the club donated $1,000 to the Monmouth and Ocean County FoodBank. For information on the club, call (732) 577-0875 or (732) 530-9543. New members are always welcome, whether you are new to the community or a longtime resident!
