The alumni branch of Kidz-4-Kidz, the theatrical arm of The Ashley Lauren Foundation – a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing hope and help to children throughout New Jersey who suffer from cancer through financial, material, and emotional support – will present the musical comedy, NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT, on April 17 at 7:30 p.m. and April 18 at 3:00 and 7:30 p.m. at The Jersey Shore Arts Center, Main Avenue and Main Street, Ocean Grove, NJ.
This 1920s-era feel-good musical, complete with extravagant dance numbers, glittering costumes, and an unlikely love story between a wealthy playboy and a rough and tumble lady bootlegger, is set against the backdrop of classic Gershwin hits like “Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off,” “Someone to Watch Over Me,” and “Fascinating Rhythm.” NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT harkens back to the golden age of American musical comedy. This sparkling, madcap tale combines laughter, romance, and high-stepping Broadway magic bursting with song, glamour, and good old-fashioned musical entertainment.
You will truly enjoy a wonderful show while helping children that are suffering from cancer.
