Monmouth County Park System Offers Trails Training

Thought you missed your chance to become part of the Monmouth County Park System’s volunteer Trails Team this year? The Monmouth County Park System is offering its fall training workshop for prospective volunteers interested in joining this dedicated group. Open to ages 16 and up, the workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, September 20 at the Thompson Park Annex Training Center, 53 Longbridge Road, Holmdel. Topics include Park System safety rules, tools and equipment, and maintenance overview.

Once trained, Trails Team members may assist with trail maintenance and construction one or two Saturday mornings a month at parks located throughout the county.
