Anniversary Gala Tickets on Sale
Celebrate the 350th anniversary of Middletown’s founding in 1664 in style at the Middletown 350 Anniversary Gala on Friday, June 20 from 7:00pm to 11:00pm at the Middletown Arts Center, 36 Church Street. This fun, formal evening features dinner, dancing, prizes, and a time capsule preview. Tickets are $85 each and include two glasses of wine or beer. A cash bar is also available. Indoor and tented outdoor seating will be available. Tickets can be purchased online at www.middletownarts.org or in person at the Middletown Arts Center, 36 Church Street. Call 732-706-4100.
Genealogy Poster Contest
Submissions due May 23rd. This contest, sponsored by the Middletown Historic Preservation Commission, is open to students in grades 8-12. Students may choose to work individually or in a group. Each poster will focus on a Middletown resident who lived before 1900. Winners will be selected by the Commission and included in the time capsule. Middletown 350 Parade & Time Capsule Celebration
The Middletown 350 Parade and Time Capsule Celebration will be held on Saturday, June 21st. This family fun day culminates at the Middletown Arts Center 36 Church Street. The day includes a parade, special performances, and burial of the Middletown 350 Time Capsule. Stay tuned for details, including how to register your group to march in this very special parade.
Engraved Middletown 350 Bricks Available
Preserve your place in Middletown Township history by purchasing an engraved brick to celebrate the township’s founding 350 years ago in 1664. The time capsule will be buried in the lawn at the Middletown Arts Center surrounded by a plaza designed with these personalized bricks. Visit www.middletownarts.org for details. Collectible Memorabilia on Sale
Show off your pride in Middletown’s heritage with some collectible memorabilia. Commemorative full-color Passport and Guides to Middletown, glasses, coins and sun-catchers can be purchased at the Middletown Arts Center, 36 Church Street, the Recreation Center, 180 Main Street, Port Monmouth and the Township Clerk’s Office, 1 Kings Highway.
