The Holmdel High School Hornets are working hard as coaches and student athletes make final preparations for the Fall Sports Season. The home season kicks off this Tuesday as the Volleyball team takes on Manchester. Last fall’s season was extremely successful with the fall teams leading the Hornets to a 5th place Group 2 ranking in the annual Shop Rite Cup.
“Athletics are an integral part of our total educational program,” said Superintendent Robert McGarry, “as a district we strive for excellence in not only academics but in the arts and athletics as well as we believe each contributes to the development of a well-rounded student.” “Our teams are also a great source of school spirit and community pride,” said Principal William Loughran.
The public is invited to cheer on the Hornets throughout the season with a special invitation being extended to each team’s first home event (listed below). The full Athletics schedule is available on the district website.
