Holmdel High School Fall Sports Season Kicks Off

The Holmdel High School Hornets have been working hard as coaches and student athletes geared up for the fall sports season, which kicked off with the volleyball team taking on Manchester. Last fall’s season was extremely successful, with the fall teams leading the Hornets to a fifth place Group 2 ranking in the annual ShopRite Cup.

“Athletics are an integral part of our total educational program,” said Superintendent Robert McGarry. “As a district, we strive for excellence in not only academics, but in the arts and athletics, as well, as we believe each contributes to the development of a well-rounded student.” Added Holmdel High School Principal William Loughran, “Our teams are also a great source of school spirit and community pride.”

The public is invited to cheer on the Hornets throughout the season. The full athletics schedule is available on the district website at www.holmdelschools.org.
