Autumn will soon be upon us, so save the date for some township-sponsored seasonal fun! Holmdel Harvest Fest 2016 is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 1 from 12:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 2 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The celebration will be held at beautiful Bayonet Farm, 41 Middletown Road in Holmdel.
Admission is free for this festive family event, and parking is $10 per car. Throughout the weekend, come and enjoy food vendors, craft vendors, a pumpkin patch, inflatables, wagon rides, a ferris wheel and carousel, and more – all for free. Pony rides will be given from 12:00 to 6:00 both days and there will be a petting zoo on Sunday from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Strolling characters will meet and greet the crowd on both days from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. There will also be live musical entertainment on the main stage, featuring Special Request from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. On Saturday evening, be sure to stay for a screening of the film “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” at 7:00 p.m., followed by a fireworks display at 8:00 p.m.
