“Grow Monmouth” Summer Roundtable Series

Monmouth County has announced a summer series of Grow Monmouth roundtables, with the first one set for Monday, June 9. Freeholder Thomas A. Arnone will be hosting the five roundtables scheduled for:

• Monday, June 9 at 7 p.m., Quality First Industries, 359 Route 35, Aberdeen
• Monday, June 16 at 7 p.m., Farmingdale Municipal Building, 11 Asbury Avenue
• Monday, June 23 at 7p.m., Colts Neck Court House, 124 Cedar Drive
• Monday, June 30 at 7 p.m., Howell Township Municipal Building, 4567 Route 9 North
• Tuesday, July 15 at 7 p.m., Wall Township Municipal Building, 2700 Allaire Road

“Each roundtable is being done in partnership with the governing body of the municipality in which it is being held,” said Arnone, liaison to the County’s Division of Economic Development. “It is important for local officials, business owners, and managers to get together to discuss ways to grow business, economy and community in Monmouth County.”

The roundtables are the next phase of the County’s Grow Monmouth initiative that began in late 2011. Grow Monmouth offers assistance to both municipalities and businesses to help spur economic development in the County.

The County’s Division of Economic Development will work with municipalities to identify and invite business leaders to participate in a roundtable discussion with local officials and Freeholder Arnone. “There has been great response to the roundtables since they began in February,” said Arnone. “Hundreds of local officials, business owners, and managers have come out to discuss issues that affect the business community and the economy of their towns and Monmouth County. They have proven to be a productive forum for discussion and networking.”

The Grow Monmouth roundtables mark the first time that the Board of Chosen Freeholders has partnered with the governing body of municipalities to encourage direct conversation with business owners and managers. The schedule of Grow Monmouth roundtables will be announced as it is updated. Businesses owners and managers are invited to attend these roundtable discussions.
