Deane-Porter School is rounding up all of Rumson’s potential kindergartners and their parents to visit the school in anticipation of joining their great school community! They are proud of their highly successful programs and the foundation they build for the top-rated levels of academic performance they have achieved in the state and federally. The primary goal of the kindergarten program is to provide developmentally appropriate educational experiences that build a strong foundation for future academic success. All children in this program are encouraged to grow socially, cognitively, emotionally, and physically in a fun and engaging environment.
The open house and registration for potential kindergartners is set for January 31 from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. The purpose of this program is to give parents and their children the opportunity to peek in on all that Deane-Porter has to offer. After a brief orientation meeting for parents, the children will be invited to sing along in the music classroom, skip and jump into the gymnasium, and explore the kindergarten classrooms.
Registration packets will be given out at this time and are due on February 16. Registration by this date will allow the school to determine numbers of sections and teachers. Children must be five years of age by October 15, 2017 to register for kindergarten. If you are unable to attend, please contact the school to obtain a registration packet or visit the school website at www.rumsonschool.org.
Mark your calendar and visit the Deane-Porter School for this special round-up on January 31. Please RSVP by January 17. If you have any questions, please call the office at (732) 842-0330.
