County Library Presents “Concert for the Renaissance of the Jersey Shore” By Laura Kolnoski

October marks one year since Superstorm Sandy devastated the Jersey Shore. Monmouth County Library Headquarters, 125 Symmes Drive, Manalapan will host a benefit concert to aid those still recovering from Sandy at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, October 3.

“The Concert for the Renaissance of the Jersey Shore” will feature the internationally-renowned vocal group The Mediæval Bæbes. While all programs at the library are free, for this benefit, cash donations will be accepted at the door. All donations will go directly to Sandy relief efforts.

Free tickets for this concert can be picked up at the library’s Reference Desk. The Mediæval Bæbes, who perform medieval music, are a female British ensemble founded in the 1990s by Katherine Blake. They have had three albums on the top of the classical charts.  In United States for a six-week tour, the Mediæval Bæbes have performed at The Royal Albert Hall, supported Michael Flatley in Hyde Park, and performed at the legendary Lilith Fair.
