The Atlantic Highlands Police Benevolence Association Local 242 hosts their 27th annual event, which, for many residents of Atlantic Highlands, is an annual rite of spring, on May 23, 2014. Fine dining, hors d’oeuvres, and an open bar, combined with a charity auction to include dozens of spectacular prizes, are expected, as always, to attract large numbers of residents. There will also be live music by The Infernos.
Over the years, PBA Local #242 has contributed proceeds from the event to local organizations, including The AH Historical Society, Henry Hudson Regional School, and the Atlantic Highlands Elementary School. This year, the proceeds from the charity auction are being given to the Atlantic Highlands Chamber of Commerce. Chief Jerry Vasto stated that town businesses have always been generous to the PBA and they wanted to return the favor.
The Chamber is currently seeking donations (baskets, gift certificates, or cash) to be auctioned at the ball. You can email, call, or drop off items at the Chamber office. Alternatively, you can arrange for your donation to be picked up. The Chamber is also supporting the event journal ad sales. For more information, contact Chuck Lero, Chamber president, at 732-996-1629.
Tickets are $75 per person and can be purchased from any officer or at police headquarters or by calling 732-291-1214. Tickets are also available from the Chamber of Commerce. Make a party of it! Tables of 10 to 12 are available. No tickets will be sold at the door.
