Animal Physical Therapist Releases Book to Help Pet Owners; Book Launch Event on September 21
RED BANK, N.J. – Noted New Jersey licensed Physical Therapist Susan E. Davis announces the release of her book: Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation for Animals: a Guide for the Consumer, through Joycare Media, a division of Joycare Onsite, LLC.
Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation for Animals: A Guide for the Consumer is essential for navigating the veterinary physical therapy world through all phases of a pet’s lifespan. The book covers modalities and exercises used in treatment and a wide variety of conditions in orthopedics, neurology, oncology, metabolic illness, arthritis, and congenital deformities. Other topics include Aging Pets, Injury Prevention, Home Exercises, Stem Cell procedures, Agility and Reiki. Ms Davis also shares her experiences and insights through case studies and anecdotal stories covering over 5 animal species.
The author’s inspiration to write her book was how animals respond to physical therapy and the level of trust they place in the therapist. She has a strong desire to share this vital information with pet owners to help them fortify and improve their pet’s lifestyle.
Davis’ book is endorsed by celebrity veterinarian Dr. Patrick Mahaney who calls it “remarkable”, and by pet writer Carol Bryant who states “Davis is a silent friend who walks the road to recovery and tells the pet owner what to expect every step of the way”
Susan Davis has 35 years of clinical experience, having transitioned from human practice to working with animals. She owns and operates Joycare Onsite LLC, formed in 2008, providing services to pets in their home, in clinics, animal shelters and a zoo.
A Book Launch Celebration will be held September 21, 2013 at the Middletown Arts Center, 36 Church Street Middletown, NJ from 2-4:00pm. Books will be available for purchase and signing by the author.
