Lighthouse Productions Brings Family-Friendly Christmas Musical to Monmouth Beach

The Search for Christmas“What happened to Christmas? Where did it go? Why do you have to go searching for it, as you say?” Ebenezer Scrooge asks the young travelers who have just landed in his living room in a time machine. Yes, that’s right! A time machine! And Scrooge is just one of the many popular Christmas characters who will take the stage in Monmouth Beach December 8-11 in The Search for Christmas, a family friendly musical.

The search is on at Precious Blood Parish Center on Riverdale Avenue, December 8 and 9 at 7:30pm and December 10 and 11 at 2pm. Lighthouse Productions, a Christian family theater company, is proud to present this original musical penned by father/daughter team, Russ Scalzo of Oceanport and Rachel Ryan of Tinton Falls.

The story follows a young genius named Mack, played by Ella Clemenko of Freehold, as she accidentally travels back in time and discovers something she’s never known anything about – Christmas! The time she lives in is full of despair and Christmas is a thing of the past. When Mack sees the past, she is determined, with the help of her friends, to change her present and future.
