Alumni, Friends of CBA Raise Over $35,000 At Annual Golf Outing

The 2016 Brother Andrew Fall Outing proved once again to be a success, raising over $35,000 for students seeking a CBA education. This year’s event was held on Monday, October 3rd at Metedeconk National Golf Club.

Brother Andrew O’Gara was a fixture of the CBA community, arriving in 1979 as principal and being named the school’s first president in 1991. For over 30 years, O’Gara faithfully served the Academy before his passing in November 2008.

The namesake outing, sponsored by the CBA Fathers’ Club, actively recognizes Br. Andrew’s mission of helping educate the next generation of leaders and helping those who might not otherwise be able to attend CBA due to financial means. Proceeds from the event go towards financial support for current CBA students.

The event included a great day of play, lunch and dinner, a silent auction of golf packages, and several major giveaways like a trip to Sanibel Island and 3 JetBlue giveaways.

The Fathers Club wishes to thank the honorary event chair Sean Pattwell, event planner Gerry Ward, and CBA Fathers Club president Jack D’Agostaro for another great outing.
