Rain or shine, hot or cold, there was no problem for the Holmdel Half Century Club (HHCC) members attending the club’s recent regular meetings, taking trips, and having luncheons, as they continued to celebrate being happy and healthy!
As the club always looks for occasions to celebrate, socialize, eat and drink, sing and dance, they found a perfect one for everyone to join in and show their patriotism. On June 28, they celebrated the Annual Independence Day BBQ at the senior center, with fine selections of food and drink. This event was open to all township residents age 50+. Holmdel Mayor Eric Hinds was present, and he and HHCC president Marilyn Fortunato welcomed questions from the members. A good time was had by all!
Upcoming events include:
• August 16: Riverside three-course luncheon at Oyster Point
• August 26: Fourth Annual Day at the Races at the Monmouth Park, with a buffet luncheon in the air-conditioned Omnibus Room, with cash bar
If you are a Holmdel resident age 50 or better and would like to enjoy some fun and meet new friends, check out the HHCC.
