Holmdel Hosts “Village Idol”

On May 13, the future stars came out for the return of Village Idol at Village School in Holmdel. The teachers and staff at Village School partner with the students and community to host an annual variety entertainment show to benefit a worthy cause. “The staff and the students look forward to Village Idol each year. The show provides an opportunity to have fun, along with a very important teaching moment where students reflect on contributing to our community and helping other people in need,” stated school Principal Brian Schillaci. This year, Village Idol helped support the JBJ Soul Kitchen Foundation, a cause that is near and dear to the heart of the Village School community.

Mr. Schillaci sent thanks the all of his staff and the Village School PSA, who helped to make Village Idol a success. “We have raised approximately $8,000 to date for this cause. This event shows how special the teachers and staff at Village School truly are. I would also like to personally thank our Village Idol committee, Dr. Christine Riso, Mrs. Kara Renfroe, Mrs.  Christine Barbara, and Mrs. Ann Marie Barry for all that they did to make this a success. We are already planning for next year’s Village Idol!”
